Theory: When ghosts “visit” you, there is a sense of calmness

The reason I (30f) am writing this is because I have had multiple paranormal experiences from a very young age (~2) until my adult years. I am a mortician now, but no, the deceased people I work with haven’t visited me... yet.

Anyway... I’ve noticed, and this might just be me, but EVERY TIME a ghost visits there is a calmness/nothingness about me (like no emotions, but not a bad feeling).. and after the experience is over that’s when reality kicks in and I’m like OMG WTF?!

My theory is there is some sort of reality that is shifted, maybe a shift in dimension, that makes this otherworldly experience not shocking when it happens.

Is this common to people that experience ghostly visitors?
